
October 26, 2009, Lenovo launched the IdeaPad U150, which is a thin and light laptop of just 11.6 inches. The laptop was available in Japan on Monday, and the price of the IdeaPad U150 is $585 in the US.
The IdeaPad U150 comes with 11.6-inch screen with 1366 x 768 pixels resolution. the laptop comes in red and black.
The IdeaPad u150 is just 13.5 mm thick and weighs less than 3 pounds with the included 3 cell battery, and if adding another 3 cell to 6 cell battery, its weight is just 3.31 pounds. And the company is quoting 7 hours of battery life using its high capacity 6-cell battery. While if with 3 cell battery, it just can work 3.5 hours.
The Lenovo IdeaPad U150 comes with some useful extras including OneKey data rescue and protection form accidental drops; both of which are useful for an on the go machine. Like Liu Jun (senior vice president, Idea Product Group, Lenovo) said: “Our Idea products are designed with the user experience in mind – every aspect of product design and technology is engineered to improve how consumers seamlessly use these products to enrich their daily lives.”
The IdeaPad u150 is one of Lenovo’s first CULV systems and runs a 1.2GHz Core 2 Duo processor with 2GB of RAM. The IdeaPad u150 also includes a 250GB hard drive, a 1.3-megapixel camera, two USB-only ports, Bluetooth 2.1 and Wi-Fi N capability along with a multi-touch capable touchpad. The touchpad supports multiple simultaneous inputs.
The IdeaPad U150 should be available in mid-November. It will be a good laptop for you.
