It is very easy for you to cut the two small clips, first of all, you pick up the video cable and the wire cutter, point at on of the small clips.

Second, cut the right small buckle with the wire cutter, in this step, what you may have to know is that the buckle should be cut smoothly.

When you have cut the right buckle, now you can cut the left buckle of the Dell video cable, do as same as what you have done about the right side of the video cable.

After having cut both two small clips on the end of the video cable, now the connector is fit the socket, what you need to do is plug the new cut-off video cable to the video cable connector into the screen.

Stick the video cable with the scotch tape on the socket, it will secure a connector in place with the scotch tape.
