
Sony has launched VAIO S/Y/F/W series laptop a few days ago, today we will have a brief view on Sony VAIO S series. The matte finish of Sony VAIO S series is using a metal material, so it has an extremely fine texture. The VAIO logo is imprinted on the lid and the small Sony logo is just above it.
Sony VAIO S series come with a 13.3 inch wide WXGA (1366×768)display, the screen is large enough, so it is definitely good enough for you to watch movies and there is no need for you to stay closely with your laptop.

Sony VAIO S series’ keyboard is designed as a floating keyboard. They come with a full size keyboard with large keys too. The space between the keys is decent, you can type smoothly without much misses. What’s more, some function keys are in good size such as “shift”, “enter”, “backspace”, and “Tab” keys.

There is a unique design for Sony VAIO S series’ keyboard; the keyboard is a kind of backlit keyboard, which will adjust its brightness according to your surroundings. So you do not worry about you will type in a dark room.

The touchpad is in silver color and it offers good scrolling possibilities and is easy to use because of the accurate pointer manipulation. We test it with 3Dmark06 when it comes with the resolution of 1280×720 pixels, its score of Sony VAIO S is as high as 3947. And when we test Sony VAIO S with PCMark05, although we don’t get the total score of Sony VAIO S, but the score of each component is high, the score of CPU is 8374, memory score is 6524, and the NVIDIA GeForce 310M is at the score of 4306.

We test the Sony VAIO S series performance by PCMark Vantage at the resolution of 1024×768, the total score of Sony VAIO S is 6950, and the Communication Score is with the highest 7979 score, Gaming score is 4379, while the memory score is the lowest with 2480. All in all, the performance of Sony VAIO S is excellent, so it is easy for you with a daily use.
