Yesterday we have a review on Dell Adamo XPS, now I want to introduce another similar laptop to you, it is Dell Vostro V13. Dell Vostro V13 is also a thin laptop, and Vostro V13 mainly focuses on small businesses or the white collars. The Dell Vostro V13 will become a hot product according to its aluminum metal coat and less than 500 Euros price.

Dell Vostro V13 is very similar to Dell Adamo XPS, but they are very from their design, Vostro V13 is much thicker than Adamo XPS, the thickness of Vostro V13 is 16.5mm while Adamo XPS is just 9.9mm thickness. Well, the weight of the weight of Vostro V13 and Dell Adamo XPS are similar, the former weighs 1.6kg and the latter weighs just 1.7kg.

Vostro V13 comes with a 13 inches LED widescreen with the resolution of 1366×768. The screen uses a matte surface, compared to some entry-level thin and light notebook; the Vostro V13 is excellent in its material and workmanship.

Dell Vostro V13 is also featuring a full size chiclet-style keyboard; we have talked about this kind keyboard for a few times, it is more beautiful as well as easier to clean. But, Dell Vostro V13’s keyboard has no backlit option. What a pity.

The touchpad of Dell V13 is wide and room, and there is no any block sense when you move your fingers on the touchpad, and it is comfortable according to its key elasticity. I can promise that you will enjoy with this touchpad too.

Dell Vostro V13 is equipped with a 6-cell battery, the 30WH 6-cell battery is non-removable, the notebook’s biggest flaw. As a result, you’ll likely get less than four hours of battery life on this small business ultraportable.
The hinge shaft design of Dell Vostro V13 is another highlight of this notebook. The hinges are made out of zinc composite and give way to a strip which makes it possible for interfaces located on the back of Vostro V13; the design makes the laptop bottom become more solid as well.

Most of interfaces are located on the rear part of Dell V13. From the left to the right, there is RJ-45, ESATA/USB2.0 ports, USB2.0 ports, VGA video output and power jack. Almost all the interfaces are here except for the audio input and output jacks.

On the right of Vostro V13, there is an ExpressCard slot and SD card reader. Generally, the light notebooks are not equipped with optical storage devices, while the devices such as camera, microphone are the standard configuration to laptops.

With an integrated camera and microphone 2, users can have video conferences as well as exchange the documents, which will help you to work more efficiently.

Wireless includes WiFi 802.11n, Bluetooth, and an AT&T WWAN option, while hard drive options can be configured up to 500GB; it also supports up to 4GB DDR3 SDRAM.

Dell Vostro V13 also has the “Set Forget” on-line data protection. Simple, safe and automatic Dell DataSafe online backup service will help restore critical business data.
