Lenovo ThinkPad X201 is similar to the laptop ThinkPad X200; Lenovo ThinkPad X201 looks similar to ThinkPad T series notebooks, it is just smaller than ThinkPad T series laptop. Although Lenovo ThinkPad X201 is much smaller, it still comes with a full-size keyboard. Well the palmrest is a litter bit narrow.

Lenovo ThinkPad X201 is light and thin, it is easy to carry it around. And the performance of Lenovo ThinkPad X201 is also better and stronger than that of the same size netbooks and VULV laptops. Moreover, the ThinkPad X201’s hinge is very solid; you can use it on the go comfortably. ThinkPad X201 comes with a durable keyboard, sturdy plastic cladding as well as alloy chassis.

ThinkPad X201 features a 12.1-inch screen with the resolution of 1280×800 pixels. But the screen’s color saturation and contrast is not so good, which seems the shortcomings of the majority of business notebooks. The vertical angle in the forward or backward 10-15 degrees will inverse, but the horizontal viewing angel is much better.

The keyboard of ThinkPad X201 is as same as the keyboard of ThinkPad X200, so every ThinkPad fan will know the quality of the keyboard. It has a good texture of every key, and there is no noise when you type on the keyboard of ThinkPad X201. I think it is a piece of cake for you to type on such a good ThinkPad X201’s keyboard.

This may be a personalized feature for ThinkPad X201, ThinkPad X201 comes with a touchpad which don’t appear before. As ThinkPad X series is only equipped with trackpoint, so many people will spend more time to adapt it. I think you will like the touchpad more than the trackpoint, as the touchpad had an excellent response time with no noticeable lag and each axis offered the same acceleration rate to prevent unwanted ovals.

ThinkPad X201 is equipped with a 9-cell battery, and the battery can last for 10 and half hours. How long the battery life is.
