How to go beyond the classic Lenovo Thinkpad X61? We can see progress and lack of co-existence for Lenovo Thinkpad X200 in design and performance. So we have a simple disassembly on Lenovo Thinkpad X200 to see differences between its internal structure and Lenovo Thinkpad X61.

Remove screws at the bottom of Lenovo Thinkpad X200 can easily divide the keyboard and palmrest, then we can clearly see the internal architecture design of Lenovo Thinkpad X200.

Remove palmrest

In the palmrest, we can clearly see C-face of the Lenovo Thinkpad X200 uses a PC + ABS-FR (40) composite materials which is from Japan MITSUBISHI TMB1615 raw material supply. 7 triangle symbol next to the word meaning that such materials are recyclable also can protect the environment.

Laptop LCD screen dark is described that you can only see vague image when adjust the maximum brightness, and the screen backlight does not shine, if not look closer, it would like a black screen. Indicator lights are lighting and flashing normal after boot, you can see the harddisk indicator is working, also can hear the voice into WINDOWS, if connect an external display to laptop. The images in external display is normal. This failure is called laptop screen dark failure, and it is the most common repair. Laptop screen turns red is also belongs to some class failures. Common causes and maintenance are as follows:

1: High voltage panel is damaged: High voltage panel is responsible for change DC voltage into 1000V high voltage which is light tube needs. Coil, the chip will be easier for aging or burning at high temperatures working for a long time. The solution is replacing, the effect of the original and alternate will be the same if not with the light.

2: The light tube problems. The light tube aging or short-circuit will cause the display dark, it is common for light aging. Generally because of the long-term use or collisions in the process of using(The light tube life is from 3-5 years if using normal). Sometimes the laptop LCD screen appears red when you booting, which is equivalent to warm, and it is not so obvious after into the new system. This process may continue for a long time before they are completely dark. Of course, there is no sign of screen become dark. Sometimes it is due to lamp connectors and cable short-circuit between the cold solder joint by ignition. You will see a small piece of black shadow in the screen corner after a good screen be held. The problems caused by light tube can be solved that only need to replace the lamp. That’s really a meticulous work requires a certain skill.

3: Screen cable problems. Screen cable break also a reason causes dark screen. Laptops are folding, the screen cable will wear when closing, and some design models used for a long time would give rise to breaking the screen.

4: Motherboard circuit failure. We talked about the the high voltage panel is responsible for power supply to screen backlight, and its supply is generated by the motherboard. Supply problems on the motherboard also caused dark screen failures. The reason is Lid switch damaged on the motherboard cause backlight are turned off. And there is a failure of opening the signal, it ia controlled by the graphics card, this is very rare.

In this guide, I will tell you how to remove the LCD screen bezel and screen brackets.

First of all, you will find that the display bezel is pinned on the laptop with the screws, and there are rubber covers on the screws, I want to remind you that different laptops have different screw location, so what you have to do is find where the screws are on your laptop.

First step:

In this laptop, there are two screws with rubber covers on the bottom of the screen. So you have to remove the rubber covers with your sharp tool, in this step, you should be careful enough to pick off the screws covers. And be sure you have removed all the rubber covers.

Second step:

When you removed the rubber covers, you can remove the screws at the bottom of the display bezel on either side. You had better place them safely as you will reuse them latter.

Third step:

As you have removed all the screws, you can remove the screen bezel now. Using your fingertips, carefully insert into the inside edge of the display bezel. Unsnap the screen bezel from the corner to the both sides of the screen slowly.

Now you have removed the screen bezel, you will find the brackets which are keep the screen firmly. The following steps are dealing with the screen brackets.

Fourth step:

Here is an example of the screen with brackets attached.

Fifth step:

Now you may have to unscrew the screws which are holding the bracket. There are total 6 screws with three screws on each side in this laptop.

With all the above steps, you have finished the removal of the LCD screen bezel and screen brackets.

Your laptop works well before, but one day, when you turn your laptop on, the laptop works well while the laptop screen does not work as before.

The problem may be that the connection between the power cable and the screen isn’t well. You can reconnect it well to see whether the problem is solved or not.

When you want to know what the real problem it is, you should check that if your laptop screen is black like it’s blacked out or the laptop is completely black.

You can look at your laptop screen very closely and carefully, if you can see the words on the screen vaguely, this means that it is a dark screen, the problem may be backlight lamp is bad, what you need is replacing it with a new one.

If you can not see anything on the screen, the video card or the South Bridge is broken. The South Bridge is broken that may be because that your laptop runs a bit warmer for a long time. So you should take some measures to cool down the laptop in case that it happens again.

If the screen is completely black, you may also check whether your laptop screen is broken or not. You can test it with connecting an external monitor to your laptop, if the monitor can work well, that must be the problem of your laptop screen. If both laptop screen and external monitor can not work well, there may be a problem of the video card. While in many laptops, the video card can not be replaced from the motherboard. If the video card fails, you should replace the motherboard too.

If there is a poor contact of the CPU, it can also result in the same problem. You can take the CPU out carefully and then install it again.

The probably reason is that your operating system is bad. What you need to do is formating the hard drive as there may be virus on your laptop.

If your laptop screen gose pink without any pictures and there are beeps when you turn on your laptop. There may be the problem of backlight inside the LCD screen. You can test it with an external monitor. If the external monitor has pictures on the screen, the backlight lamp on your own laptop screen is bad and you should replace it, but it is very difficult for you to replace the backlight lamp so you had better repalce the LCD screen.

While if there is no any voice when your laptop starts up, and your operating system and backlight lamp are all right. The motherboard may be bad. You may have to replace it with a new one. Of course, you may ask for help from professionals.

There is no doubt that there are other reasons for this problem, if you have different opinion about it, PLEASE leave a comment and let me know.

In fact, we have some bad habit when using laptop. Probably these details hurt our laptop even bring unintended consequences to our laptop. We must take preventive measures, let us look at nine bad habits that should be corrected.

For men users, one hand clip smoke and the other hand touch the mouse is a very frequent movements, even with smoke hand to tap the keyboard occasionally. Actually, this approach is not correct, it is likely to make the soot fall into the keyboard , to make matter worse is that extinguish cigarette butts dropped on the keyboard. So don’t smoke when using the laptop.

Put a glass of water next to the laptop when working also a very common thing. You’d better put the cup far away the laptop, or accidentally knocked over the cup, it will sprinkle on your keyboard. Because the current majority of laptop keyboards are not waterproof, if the wateri infiltrate into the keyboard inside, tears are too late.If you are stubborn to have some tea or coffee when using a laptop, we recommend that you’d better place the cup on the lower parts than laptop, or locate the cup on the left side of the laptop and more than 10cm distance. Compare to the right hand, the frequency of the left hand knock the cup of the probability will be smaller. The distance of 10cm can effectively prevent the entire glass of water sprinkled into the notebook.

It is inevitable that we will be so excited about the content displayed on the screen. It is best not to let your fingers touch the screen for the laptop screen coated with a layer of special material which can make the screen more clearly. Perhaps some people hold the point of view that we can not feel it, in fact, this layer of material has only a few microns. It will cause this layer of material subject to damage if pointd the LCD with your fingers in the long-term or other hard objects, then greatly shortening the life of the screen. We can see that there are some scratches on the LCD panel in some second-hand notebook, all of these masterpiece made by fingers. We can find these scratch shown far from full color and soft than in other places.

Many friends may ignore an issue when using laptop, that is the wrist makes the wear for the notebook keyboard. Especially with a metal strap watch, or bracelet, making the notebook even more serious, and will be left indelible marks in a notebook in a long time!

While this will not have any effect with the laptop performance, but greatly reduced the beauty of books. These situation can be avoided completely as long as off the watch in the typing time.

The invasion of sand for the notebooks can also cause very serious damage. The keyboard gap, or various interfaces is tainted by the dust, clean up is very troublesome pieces of things. You can use 3 anti-notebook.

Accidental fall caused damage to the hard disk, perhaps irreparable. For notebooks like as the IBM which have hard drive protection system, perhaps the problem is not that great, but for most laptops, does not have such a device, even in the rough on the car, open the laptop may also cause harm to the notebooks Therefore, you must use laptop carefully on the road. In addition, it should make use of strong, good quality laptop bag, even if inadvertently dropped the bag can give your notebook the last line of defense.

In contrast, CD-ROM or DVD-ROM is relatively easy to aging of components, most of notebook drives is no exception. Notebook drives are mostly specific product, we have to use cherish because damaged replacement is cumbersome.

It is not a good habit that use notebook to watch VCD or listening to music. The money to replace laptop drive is enough to buy a senior CD walkman. I’m afraid the laptop screen and sound effect are very ordinary.

Some friends like to use books on the bed. In fact, this is also a very bad habit. The soft surface will make the fuselage sink, cover the vent, seriously affect the laptop cooling, the worst situation is the laptop cannot start. You can adopt laptop table to help you using laptop in the bed, price of laptop table is not expensive and still quite convenient.

Today, many car owners like to put notebooks on the car trunk, in fact, it is not correct. First of all, the car trunk is not safe, the current trunk of the theft activities frequently happen, and if you are unfortunate enough to become targets of thieves, that since the consequences do not have to say any more. If it is in the summer, we will have experienced, that is, open the door, a heat wave will hit you. Car under the sun can reach temperatures above 70 degrees, the temperature inside the car trunk will not be lower, so that placed notebooks in this temperature, certainly not a wise choice.

Finally, but true story of this! People lying in the books too tired to sleep, and accordingly his accountable, he has the habit of holding notebooks sleeping. Does he think laptop is a pillow?

Summary
In fact, in our daily lives, it is inevitable that each person have a bit the incorrect method of using a laptop. Treat your books, correct your bad habits so that laptops can do better service for us.

The laptop screen is garbled with multicolor or gray lines, or when moving the laptop, the screen gets garbled. If you want to konw something like that, there are some tips on this issue.

There may be connection problems. First you can check that if the video cable connects well with the LCD screen by unplugging and repluging the video cable on the back of the LCD and on the system board. In some cases, the problem will get done. If it does not, you may try to check that if the video card makes good contact with the slot on the motherboard. Reconnecting the video card and testing the laptop. It is also possible the connection issue about memory module and motherboard.

If there is not the problem of connection, you may check the video cable and LCD screen. You can move the video cable without moving the LCD screen, if the garbled video changes, the video cable may be bad. Replace the video cable. On the contrary, moving the LCD screen without moving the video cable, if the sreen image changes, it is the problem of the screen and replace it.

If the problem is still, you can connect the LCD screen to an external monitor. If the external monitor has garbled image too, it may be that the motherboard is bad or the video card is bad. In many laptops, the video card can not be replaced from the motherboard. If the video card fails, you should replace the motherboard too.

That’s what I konw, hoping it will help you. While you may have your laptop repaired by professionals if you are not confident about yourself.
