<p><strong>Toshiba Portégé T230</strong> is available in three colors: rosy, black and white. We are about to review on the rosy one. The materials of Toshiba Portégé T230 are the same as T310. The bright surface of <strong>Portégé T230</strong> applies the popular Imprint technology to form regular grid pattern, which is different from Satellite L Series of Roman style.</p>
<p><span id="more-5978"></span></p>
<p><a rel="attachment wp-att-5980" href="http://blog.screenaid.com/2010/10/08/toshiba-portege-t230-review/toshiba-portege-t230-2/"><img class="aligncenter size-medium wp-image-5980" title="Toshiba Portégé T230 " src="http://blog.screenaid.com/wp-content/uploads/2010/10/Toshiba-Portégé-T230-2-300x225.jpg" alt="Toshiba Portégé T230 " width="300" height="225" /></a></p>
<p><strong>Toshiba Portégé T230 Screen </strong></p>
<p><strong>Toshiba Portégé T230</strong> adopts 13.3-inch 16:9 LED-backlit wide<a href="http://www.screenaid.com/toshiba-laptop-lcd-screens-portege-c-2572_14474.html"> <strong>LCD</strong> <strong>screen</strong></a> with maximum resolution of 1366 × 768. At the same time the screen frame has the same color as the cover. And the narrow frame matches well with the screen. Compared with previous generations T130 series, Portégé T230’s most different feature is two-color design. The bright silvery operating area and the rosy top cover as well as screen frame shape strong visual difference.</p>
<p><a rel="attachment wp-att-5982" href="http://blog.screenaid.com/2010/10/08/toshiba-portege-t230-review/toshiba-portege-t230-4-2/"><img class="aligncenter size-medium wp-image-5982" title="Toshiba Portégé T230" src="http://blog.screenaid.com/wp-content/uploads/2010/10/Toshiba-Portégé-T230-41-300x225.jpg" alt="Toshiba Portégé T230" width="300" height="225" /></a></p>
<p><strong>Toshiba Portégé T230</strong> Web Camera</p>
<p><a rel="attachment wp-att-5983" href="http://blog.screenaid.com/2010/10/08/toshiba-portege-t230-review/toshiba-portege-t230-6/"><img class="aligncenter size-medium wp-image-5983" title="Toshiba Portégé T230 " src="http://blog.screenaid.com/wp-content/uploads/2010/10/Toshiba-Portégé-T230-6-300x207.jpg" alt="Toshiba Portégé T230 " width="300" height="207" /></a></p>
<p><strong>Toshiba Portégé T230 Keyboard</strong></p>
<p>Smart floating style keyboard looks neat and refined, different from the familiar wide-touch keyboard. Combining with the silver keycaps, the entire area seems metallic. In our practical use, as the key length and space are designed reasonable, they provide comfortable handfeel and the silver surface is not easy to leave fingerprints.</p>
<p><a rel="attachment wp-att-5984" href="http://blog.screenaid.com/2010/10/08/toshiba-portege-t230-review/toshiba-portege-t230-7/"><img class="aligncenter size-medium wp-image-5984" title="Toshiba Portégé T230 " src="http://blog.screenaid.com/wp-content/uploads/2010/10/Toshiba-Portégé-T230-7-300x225.jpg" alt="Toshiba Portégé T230 " width="300" height="225" /></a></p>
<p><strong>Toshiba Portégé T230 Touchpad and Palm Rest</strong></p>
<p>No longer to use the popular all-in-one design, Toshiba T230 uses the traditional split type touchpad. And the touchpad area is large enough for good use. The sleek left and right buttons highlight the operating area. Integrated with grid pattern and convex treatment, Toshiba T230 palm rest features great tactile sensation, while this design allows the surface to avoid leaving fingerprint.</p>
<p><strong>Toshiba Portégé T230 Interfaces</strong></p>
<p>Toshiba T230 left side design: power supply, heat vents, HDMI, e-SATA/USB 2.0, and Six-card reader (SD / SDHC / xD / MMC / MS / MS Pro), while the right side design: security keyhole, RJ-45, VGA, 2 × USB2.0, audio input / output.</p>

<p><strong>Toshiba Portégé T230 Performance</strong></p>
<p><strong><a rel="attachment wp-att-5992" href="http://blog.screenaid.com/2010/10/08/toshiba-portege-t230-review/toshiba-portege-t230-cpu/"><img class="aligncenter size-medium wp-image-5992" title="Toshiba Portégé T230 " src="http://blog.screenaid.com/wp-content/uploads/2010/10/Toshiba-Portégé-T230-cpu-300x273.jpg" alt="Toshiba Portégé T230 " width="300" height="273" /></a><br />
</strong></p>
<p>Toshiba Portégé T230 sports the latest Intel Pentium dual-core U5400 processor with 1.2GHz and 3MB cache, together with Intel HM55 chipset, 2GB DDR3-1066 memory, 320GB SATA hard drive and Intel Toshiba HD integrated graphics, and pre-installed a Windows 7 Home Basic 32-bit operating system.</p>
<p><a rel="attachment wp-att-5989" href="http://blog.screenaid.com/2010/10/08/toshiba-portege-t230-review/toshiba-portege-t230-15/"><img class="aligncenter size-medium wp-image-5989" title="Toshiba Portégé T230 " src="http://blog.screenaid.com/wp-content/uploads/2010/10/Toshiba-Portégé-T230-15-300x192.jpg" alt="Toshiba Portégé T230 " width="300" height="192" /></a></p>
<p>First of all, we utilize PCMark Vantage to test performance of Toshiba T230. In the resolution of 1024 * 768, we get the final score of 2341 points, in which the highest one is Music Score of 3248 points and the integrated graphics scores 1647 points.</p>
<p><a rel="attachment wp-att-5993" href="http://blog.screenaid.com/2010/10/08/toshiba-portege-t230-review/toshiba-portege-t230-cin/"><img class="aligncenter size-medium wp-image-5993" title="Toshiba Portégé T230 " src="http://blog.screenaid.com/wp-content/uploads/2010/10/Toshiba-Portégé-T230-cin-291x300.jpg" alt="Toshiba Portégé T230 " width="291" height="300" /></a></p>
<p>Then we use CINEBENCH R10 to test the performance of Pentium Dual Core U5400. The final result for multi-core is 2631 points. Compared to the familiar Intel Core i3-330UM, the CPU using 32nm process technology features dual-core and dual-thread without hyper-threading.</p>
<p><strong>Toshiba Portégé T230 Heat</strong></p>
<p>It could be a big challenge for Toshiba Portégé T230 in heat dissipation for its compact and slim body. At first we use EVEREST to check the temperature of internal Portégé T230 in low-load condition. Due to the integrated graphics, we continue running CINEBENCH R10 to reach the high-load state so as to check the core temperature inside. At the same time, we choose thermal FLUKE imager to test the surface temperature of keyboard and bottom areas.</p>
<p><a rel="attachment wp-att-5994" href="http://blog.screenaid.com/2010/10/08/toshiba-portege-t230-review/toshiba-portege-t230-17/"><img class="aligncenter size-medium wp-image-5994" title="Toshiba Portégé T230 " src="http://blog.screenaid.com/wp-content/uploads/2010/10/Toshiba-Portégé-T230-17-300x199.jpg" alt="Toshiba Portégé T230 " width="300" height="199" /></a></p>
<p>Toshiba T230 surface area of keyboard reaches 40.5 ℃ in high-load condition.</p>
<p><a rel="attachment wp-att-5995" href="http://blog.screenaid.com/2010/10/08/toshiba-portege-t230-review/toshiba-portege-t230-18/"><img class="aligncenter size-medium wp-image-5995" title="Toshiba Portégé T230 " src="http://blog.screenaid.com/wp-content/uploads/2010/10/Toshiba-Portégé-T230-18-300x201.jpg" alt="Toshiba Portégé T230 " width="300" height="201" /></a></p>
<p>Toshiba T230 surface area of bottom reaches 52.7 ℃ in high-load condition.</p>
<p>Through the test, Portégé T230 internal core temperature of the central processor is 44 ℃in low-load condition and 53 ℃ in high-load condition. Overall, Portégé T230 dose a good job in heat dissipation and temperature control.</p>
<p><strong>Toshiba Portégé T230 Battery Life</strong></p>
<p><strong><a rel="attachment wp-att-5996" href="http://blog.screenaid.com/2010/10/08/toshiba-portege-t230-review/toshiba-portege-t230/"><img class="aligncenter size-medium wp-image-5996" title="Toshiba Portégé T230" src="http://blog.screenaid.com/wp-content/uploads/2010/10/Toshiba-Portégé-T230-300x277.jpg" alt="Toshiba Portégé T230" width="300" height="277" /></a><br />
</strong></p>
<p><strong>Toshiba Portégé T230</strong> is equipped with a 10.8V, 61Wh 6-cell lithium battery. We use BatteryMark to test its battery life. We adjust power management to energy-saving mode, open wireless network, and adjust the screen brightness to 40%. Finally we get the results of 6 hours and 48 minutes, which may be satisfactory and very suitable for travelling.</p>

<strong>• <a href="http://www.screenaid.com/toshiba-laptop-lcd-screens-satellite-c-2572_2585.html">Satellite </a>L Series Roman pattern </strong></p>
<p>The overall design of <strong><a href="http://www.screenaid.com/toshiba-laptop-lcd-screens-c-2572.html">Toshiba</a> NB255</strong> has not changed much compared with <strong>Toshiba NB300</strong>, Toshiba NB255 comes with a rounded appearance, and only some details changed. Toshiba NB255 we got is in black, the shell of this NB255 is in glossy design, there are convex pattern carved Roman &#8220;II&#8221; over the shell surface. <span id="more-5947"></span><br />

<p><strong>Toshiba NB255</strong> black design</p>
<p>The middle part’s concave &#8220;TOSHIBA&#8221; logo is using the same black color instead of other colors; it gives us simple low-key feel but highlight the logo. It is precisely because of its convex surface of the Roman pattern design; it is easier to some extent to avoid the problem of collecting fingerprints.</p>

<p>Toshiba NB255 weight</p>
<p>Toshiba NB255 with the standard lithium battery weighs 1.085kg, and with a mini-travel power adapter, Toshiba NB255 weighs only 1.429kg. As a netbook, its performance in terms of portability is good. Speaking of portability, many consumers will think of a more portable tablet PC, both neck and neck in performance, the differences may be the mode of operation, and entertainment applications etc.</p>
<p><strong>• Toshiba NB255 chiclet-style keyboard</strong></p>
<p>The keyboard set of Toshiba NB255 netbook is actually a chiclet-style version, the keys feel too good to the tips of the fingers. Personally I don&#8217;t love chiclet-style keyboards; however I need to acknowledge they appear quite dazzling. If you like the appearance and feel of the chiclet-style keyboards, you will end up satisfied when using the NB255.</p>
<p><a href="http://blog.screenaid.com/wp-content/uploads/2010/09/Toshiba-NB255-Review-9.jpg" rel="lightbox[5947]"><img class="aligncenter size-medium wp-image-5957" title="Toshiba NB255 Review-9" src="http://blog.screenaid.com/wp-content/uploads/2010/09/Toshiba-NB255-Review-9-300x225.jpg" alt="Toshiba NB255 Review-9" width="300" height="225" /></a><br />
Toshiba NB255 overall control area design</p>
<p>Touchpad seems quite simple, and there is nothing special, matte surface feels comfortable. It is worth mentioning that the left and right button design is separate design, thereby it is increasing the area to ensure a good touch percussion feel.</p>

<p><strong>Toshiba Satellite M600</strong>, as upgrade of M500, has a breakthrough in design. Matte finish together with glossy edge makes Toshiba Satellite M600 laptop more stylish and anti-fingerprint. What’s more, <strong>Satellite M600</strong> adopts Nvida optimus graphics card automatic switching technology. It is GT330M that balances well between battery life and efficient performance. And Satellite M600 inherits the previous Harman Dayton audio to revolutionize your entertainment experience.<span id="more-5729"></span></p>
<p style="text-align: center;"><a href="http://blog.screenaid.com/wp-content/uploads/2010/09/Toshiba-Satellite-M600-2.jpg" rel="lightbox[5729]"><img class="aligncenter size-medium wp-image-5732" title="Toshiba Satellite M600" src="http://blog.screenaid.com/wp-content/uploads/2010/09/Toshiba-Satellite-M600-2-300x184.jpg" alt="Toshiba Satellite M600" width="300" height="184" /></a></p>
<p><strong>Screen, Keyboard and Touchpad</strong></p>
<p>Using the most popular matte texture material, <strong>Toshiba Satellite M600 laptop</strong> turns to be more durable and wear resistant than piano baking finish M500 which would leave scratches in use. The same as Satellite M600 cover, its matte finish silvery palm rest shines in the light.</p>
<p style="text-align: center;"><a href="http://blog.screenaid.com/wp-content/uploads/2010/09/Toshiba-Satellite-M600-4.jpg" rel="lightbox[5729]"><img class="aligncenter size-medium wp-image-5733" title="Toshiba Satellite M600 " src="http://blog.screenaid.com/wp-content/uploads/2010/09/Toshiba-Satellite-M600-4-300x225.jpg" alt="Toshiba Satellite M600 " width="300" height="225" /></a></p>
<p>Toshiba Satellite M600 14-inch HD <a href="http://www.screenaid.com/toshiba-laptop-lcd-screens-c-2572.html"><span style="color: #3366ff;"><strong>screen</strong> </span></a>decorated with piano baking finish frame</p>
<p style="text-align: center;"><a href="http://blog.screenaid.com/wp-content/uploads/2010/09/Toshiba-Satellite-M600-5.jpg" rel="lightbox[5729]"><img class="aligncenter size-full wp-image-5734" title="Toshiba Satellite M600" src="http://blog.screenaid.com/wp-content/uploads/2010/09/Toshiba-Satellite-M600-5.jpg" alt="Toshiba Satellite M600" width="240" height="180" /></a></p>
<p>Satellite M600 continues to use the proud Harman Toshiba Dayton speakers. If you are not audiophiles, we believe Toshiba M600&#8242;s speakers are sound enough to meet your daily enjoyment.</p>
<p style="text-align: center;"><a href="http://blog.screenaid.com/wp-content/uploads/2010/09/Toshiba-Satellite-M600-6.jpg" rel="lightbox[5729]"><img class="aligncenter size-medium wp-image-5735" title="Toshiba Satellite M600 " src="http://blog.screenaid.com/wp-content/uploads/2010/09/Toshiba-Satellite-M600-6-300x225.jpg" alt="Toshiba Satellite M600 " width="300" height="225" /></a></p>
<p>Toshiba M600 200W pixel camera together with pickup MIC on the left</p>
<p style="text-align: center;"><a href="http://blog.screenaid.com/wp-content/uploads/2010/09/Toshiba-Satellite-M600-7.jpg" rel="lightbox[5729]"><img class="aligncenter size-medium wp-image-5736" title="Toshiba Satellite M600 " src="http://blog.screenaid.com/wp-content/uploads/2010/09/Toshiba-Satellite-M600-7-300x202.jpg" alt="Toshiba Satellite M600 " width="300" height="202" /></a></p>
<p>Having reviewed Toshiba M600’s screen and sound, then let’s have a look at Satellite M600&#8242;s shortcuts setting above the keyboard Those shortcuts are power switch, ECHO power plan, media center, play / pause, rewind, fast forward, mute and volume control keys. And Satellite M600 chocolate keyboard feels good while typing. In addition, it’s quiet to knock, even at night it will not affect others.</p>
<p style="text-align: center;"><a href="http://blog.screenaid.com/wp-content/uploads/2010/09/Toshiba-Satellite-M600-8.jpg" rel="lightbox[5729]"><img class="aligncenter size-medium wp-image-5737" title="Toshiba Satellite M600" src="http://blog.screenaid.com/wp-content/uploads/2010/09/Toshiba-Satellite-M600-8-300x225.jpg" alt="Toshiba Satellite M600" width="300" height="225" /></a></p>
<p>Satellite M600 grinding materials touchpad and big shiny buttons design match well with striped palm rest.</p>

<p><strong>Commendable security</strong></p>
<p>Although Toshiba Satellite M600 is aimed at positioned as home entertainment laptop, fingerprint identification system is also adopted. Setting up fingerprint password can prevent the loss of documentation.</p>
<p style="text-align: center;"><a href="http://blog.screenaid.com/wp-content/uploads/2010/09/Toshiba-Satellite-M600-10.jpg" rel="lightbox[5729]"><img class="aligncenter size-medium wp-image-5739" title="Toshiba Satellite M600 " src="http://blog.screenaid.com/wp-content/uploads/2010/09/Toshiba-Satellite-M600-10-300x225.jpg" alt="Toshiba Satellite M600 " width="300" height="225" /></a></p>
