BenQ S35 comes with a Intel Core 2 Solo SU3500 ULV processor, power consumption is only 5.5W; while the card is the Intel 4 Series Chipset Integrated Intel GMA 4500MHD. Heat between the two are not very large, thus significantly reducing power consumption means that machine components can significantly reduce, the circuit design can be simpler, also can be done very thin body. The thinnest part of BenQ S35 is 17mm, the thickest spots are also only 22mm.  

Since the body can do it very thin, the body naturally would not be a very heavy weight. BenQ S35 equips with battery weight of only 1.6 kilograms. The weight of the mainstream 10.2-inch netbook is about 1.3 kg. 13-inch BenQ S35 is clearly considered to be very

Are there other highlights of BenQ S35’s appearance  worth to mention except thin?BenQ S35 adopts  pure black for the exterior color scheme. A surface covered with a popular piano paint design, eye-catching white “BENQ Joybook” logo located on the side.

Although the design of the piano paint the surface of the visual aesthetics have some advantages, but its disadvantages are also easily contaminated with fingerprints inevitable. It seems that you have to frequently wipe it to maintain the superstructure is sustainable as new.

Vista’s own rating system, the lowest points is the graphics performance of 3.2 points, while the game graphics performance was only 3.3 points. BenQ S35, taking into account the graphics core is Intel GS45 chipset, integrated GMA X4500 MHD, we should not have
high expectations for its graphics performance, after all, is not an entertainment laptop.

BenQ S35 used SU3500 processor is Intel CULV platform performance-level Core 2 Solo ULV single-core series products. Using 45nm process technology, FSB of 200 MHz, supporting 800MHz FSB, 2 built-3MB cache, clocked at 1.4GHz. The processor’s operating voltage is only 1.013V, support for MMX, SSE, SSE2, SSE3, SSSE3, SSE4.1, and EM64T. The SU3500′s TDP is only 5.5W, is clearly less than the mainstream Core 2 Duo processor.

CINEBENCH R10 uses 3D design software CINEMA 4D, 3D engine, used to test the CPU and graphics performance. Tests include two, respectively, for the processor and graphics. The first test simply use the CPU rendering a high-precision 3D scenes images on a single processor, single-threaded the next run only once. The second test is targeted at the performance OpenGL graphics cards.  Intel Core 2 Solo SU3500 processor in a single-core rendering test score of 1491 points, OpenGL graphics performance, part of the score of 542 points, processing 800 × 600 size image with 8 hours 9 minutes 50 seconds. This achievement is quite the same as the same level of CULV products.

BenQ S35 is right for someone like me who just need a portable performance to meet the browsing the web, edit documents, send and receive e-mail like operation notebook users. For those who buy their first laptop to make daily operations, playing high-definition video, and run simple games and even large-scale 3D game users who no doubt have a conventional processor and discrete graphics cards, mainstream notebook configuration is the wiser choice.

Today, notebooks apparently based on thin and light, BenQ S35 just with 17mm naturally has qualify to let me see it with a new light. Not only in the simple  design, workmanship is very detailed.
