<p>The new member of Dell Vostro designed for small business, the Dell Vostro V13 is compact enough and with the excellent performance and efficiency. Even the vice president of small and medium enterprise market, Sam Burd, also uses the Vostro V13.<span id="more-2462"></span></p>
<p>Vostro V13 focuses on the business, and is based on the CULV platform. The Dell Vostro V13 is equipped with 13.3-inch high-definition display, Core 2 Solo SU3500 ULV processor, 2GB DDR3 RAM, 320G hard drives.</p>
<p><img class="aligncenter size-medium wp-image-2464" title="Dell Vostro V13 " src="http://blog.screenaid.com/wp-content/uploads/2010/02/image28-300x298.png" alt="Dell Vostro V13 " width="300" height="298" /></p>
<p>Can Vostro V13 really be thin and good? We disassemble it to explore it.</p>
<p>To disassemble a laptop, you need to prepare a screwdriver, clear mind and patience.</p>
<p>We usually start to with the keyboard bezel of most Dell laptops, so does the Vostro V13.</p>
<p><img class="aligncenter size-medium wp-image-2465" title="dell-Vostro-V13-1" src="http://blog.screenaid.com/wp-content/uploads/2010/02/dell-Vostro-V13-1-300x201.jpg" alt="dell-Vostro-V13-1" width="300" height="201" /></p>
<p>First of all, insert the screwdriver into the right side keyboard bezel and lift it up carefully, then you can remove the whole keyboard bezel easily.</p>
<p><img class="aligncenter size-medium wp-image-2466" title="dell-Vostro-V13-2" src="http://blog.screenaid.com/wp-content/uploads/2010/02/dell-Vostro-V13-2-300x196.jpg" alt="dell-Vostro-V13-2" width="300" height="196" /><br />
Then, remove the keyboard of Dell Vostro V13.</p>
<p><img class="aligncenter size-medium wp-image-2467" title="dell-Vostro-V13-3" src="http://blog.screenaid.com/wp-content/uploads/2010/02/dell-Vostro-V13-3-300x140.jpg" alt="dell-Vostro-V13-3" width="300" height="140" /></p>
<p>This is the keyboard removed from the laptop, there are just two screws five buckles holding the keyboard stably.</p>
<p><img class="aligncenter size-medium wp-image-2468" title="dell-Vostro-V13-4" src="http://blog.screenaid.com/wp-content/uploads/2010/02/dell-Vostro-V13-4-300x206.jpg" alt="dell-Vostro-V13-4" width="300" height="206" /></p>
<p>Under the keyboard, there is a spill resistant metal plate, which protects the motherboard circuit from water. Because under the spill resistant metal plate, there is cable connected with motherboard, so you should be careful when you disassemble.<br />
<img class="aligncenter size-medium wp-image-2469" title="dell Vostro V13 5" src="http://blog.screenaid.com/wp-content/uploads/2010/02/dell-Vostro-V13-5-300x225.jpg" alt="dell Vostro V13 5" width="300" height="225" /><br />
We can see from the above picture, when we removed the keyboard, we can install memory, Bluetooth, SIM 3G card. To our surprise, the Dell Vostro V13 is equipped with the metal anti-roll frame which is similar to that of most Lenovo ThinkPad laptops to strengthen the hardness of the laptop body.</p>
<p><img class="aligncenter size-medium wp-image-2470" title="dell-Vostro-V13-6" src="http://blog.screenaid.com/wp-content/uploads/2010/02/dell-Vostro-V13-6-300x193.jpg" alt="dell-Vostro-V13-6" width="300" height="193" /></p>
<p>The memory is installed under the keyboard bezel which is different from most Dell laptops. Fortunately, the keyboard is not difficult to be removed, so it is not too complicated to replace the memory.</p>
<p><img class="aligncenter size-medium wp-image-2471" title="dell-Vostro-V13-7" src="http://blog.screenaid.com/wp-content/uploads/2010/02/dell-Vostro-V13-7-300x161.jpg" alt="dell-Vostro-V13-7" width="300" height="161" /><br />
Dell Vostro V13 supports DDR3 memory, and the Dell Vostro V13 is equipped with a 2GB DDR3 1066MHZ memory module.</p>
<p><img class="aligncenter size-medium wp-image-2472" title="dell-Vostro-V13-8" src="http://blog.screenaid.com/wp-content/uploads/2010/02/dell-Vostro-V13-8-300x200.jpg" alt="dell-Vostro-V13-8" width="300" height="200" /></p>
<p>Heat sink of Vostro V13 is under the switch, we worry about that whether the laptop will overheat in the process of use with this design, fortunately, Vostro V13 performs well.</p>
<p><img class="aligncenter size-medium wp-image-2473" title="dell-Vostro-V13-9" src="http://blog.screenaid.com/wp-content/uploads/2010/02/dell-Vostro-V13-9-300x210.jpg" alt="dell-Vostro-V13-9" width="300" height="210" /></p>
<p>Dell Vostro V13 supports WWAN, so there is a SIM slot as you can see on the above picture.</p>
<p><img class="aligncenter size-medium wp-image-2474" title="dell-Vostro-V13-10" src="http://blog.screenaid.com/wp-content/uploads/2010/02/dell-Vostro-V13-10-300x198.jpg" alt="dell-Vostro-V13-10" width="300" height="198" /></p>
<p>Continue to disassemble the Dell Vostro V13, turn the bottom side of Dell Vostro V13 up, remove all the screws at the bottom side, and then remove the heave metal shell.</p>
<p><img class="aligncenter size-medium wp-image-2475" title="dell-Vostro-V13-11" src="http://blog.screenaid.com/wp-content/uploads/2010/02/dell-Vostro-V13-11-300x164.jpg" alt="dell-Vostro-V13-11" width="300" height="164" /></p>
<p>We find that the bottom metal shell is very thick and heavy, it is about 1mm thick. We can know that the quality of the Dell laptops is very good. If they use the plastic instead of the metal material, it will be much lighter.<br />
Now we can see the whole components of the Dell Vostro V13.</p>
<p><img class="aligncenter size-medium wp-image-2477" title="dell-Vostro-V13-12" src="http://blog.screenaid.com/wp-content/uploads/2010/02/dell-Vostro-V13-12-300x225.jpg" alt="dell-Vostro-V13-12" width="300" height="225" /></p>
<p>Dell Vostro V13 takes the HDD protection into account, which is important for business users to protect their data.</p>
<p><img class="aligncenter size-medium wp-image-2478" title="dell-Vostro-V13-14" src="http://blog.screenaid.com/wp-content/uploads/2010/02/dell-Vostro-V13-14-300x189.jpg" alt="dell-Vostro-V13-14" width="300" height="189" /></p>
<p>Vostro V13 features a 320G Seagate 7200.4 HDD, the performance of it is in the high level.  V13 uses the 320G Seagate 7200.4 notebook hard drive performance in its class in the middle of the upper level.</p>
<p><img class="aligncenter size-medium wp-image-2479" title="dell-Vostro-V13-15" src="http://blog.screenaid.com/wp-content/uploads/2010/02/dell-Vostro-V13-15-223x300.jpg" alt="dell-Vostro-V13-15" width="223" height="300" /><br />
WWAN card slot and WLAN Card slot are located in the V13 side by side; the whole structure is very compact.</p>
<p><img class="aligncenter size-medium wp-image-2480" title="dell-Vostro-V13-16" src="http://blog.screenaid.com/wp-content/uploads/2010/02/dell-Vostro-V13-16-300x225.jpg" alt="dell-Vostro-V13-16" width="300" height="225" /></p>
<p>Vostro V13 is just with a 54M Dell 1397 WLAN, but it supports the 11n network card, so if you require for faster speed, the 11n network card will be your choice.</p>
<p><img class="aligncenter size-medium wp-image-2481" title="dell-Vostro-V13-17" src="http://blog.screenaid.com/wp-content/uploads/2010/02/dell-Vostro-V13-17-300x206.jpg" alt="dell-Vostro-V13-17" width="300" height="206" /><br />
The Dell is not the manufacture of the wireless network card, as we can see, the manufacture of it is the world&#8217;s first wireless communications semiconductor company.</p>
<p><img class="aligncenter size-medium wp-image-2482" title="dell-Vostro-V13-18" src="http://blog.screenaid.com/wp-content/uploads/2010/02/dell-Vostro-V13-18-300x195.jpg" alt="dell-Vostro-V13-18" width="300" height="195" /></p>
<p>If you want to connect the web, you can buy a WWAN card such as the DELL 5530 card which sounds good.</p>
<p>Dell presets the antenna for the WWAN card, which is a thoughtful.</p>
<p><img class="aligncenter size-medium wp-image-2483" title="dell-Vostro-V13-19" src="http://blog.screenaid.com/wp-content/uploads/2010/02/dell-Vostro-V13-19-300x202.jpg" alt="dell-Vostro-V13-19" width="300" height="202" /><br />
Motherboard (with cooling system)</p>
<p><img class="aligncenter size-medium wp-image-2484" title="dell-Vostro-V13-20" src="http://blog.screenaid.com/wp-content/uploads/2010/02/dell-Vostro-V13-20-300x70.jpg" alt="dell-Vostro-V13-20" width="300" height="70" /><br />
Motherboard (without cooling system)</p>
<p><img class="aligncenter size-medium wp-image-2485" title="dell-Vostro-V13-21" src="http://blog.screenaid.com/wp-content/uploads/2010/02/dell-Vostro-V13-21-300x111.jpg" alt="dell-Vostro-V13-21" width="300" height="111" /><br />
The motherboard of Vostro V13 is so small.</p>
<p>Vostro V13 comes with Intel Core 2 Duo SU7300, Core 2 Solo SU3500, or Celeron 743 processors and with Intel 4500MHD graphics. It will meet the daily use. But it seems that the GPU and CPU are soldered on the motherboard, which is difficult for you to replace it.</p>
<p><img class="aligncenter size-medium wp-image-2486" title="dell-Vostro-V13-22" src="http://blog.screenaid.com/wp-content/uploads/2010/02/dell-Vostro-V13-22-300x183.jpg" alt="dell-Vostro-V13-22" width="300" height="183" /></p>
<p><img class="aligncenter size-medium wp-image-2487" title="dell-Vostro-V13-23" src="http://blog.screenaid.com/wp-content/uploads/2010/02/dell-Vostro-V13-23-300x295.jpg" alt="dell-Vostro-V13-23" width="300" height="295" /></p>
<p>Vostro V13 is featuring a compact Bluetooth.</p>
<p><img class="aligncenter size-medium wp-image-2488" title="dell-Vostro-V13-24" src="http://blog.screenaid.com/wp-content/uploads/2010/02/dell-Vostro-V13-24-300x220.jpg" alt="dell-Vostro-V13-24" width="300" height="220" /><br />
Vostro V13’s heat vent</p>
<p><img class="aligncenter size-medium wp-image-2489" title="dell-Vostro-V13-25" src="http://blog.screenaid.com/wp-content/uploads/2010/02/dell-Vostro-V13-25-300x159.jpg" alt="dell-Vostro-V13-25" width="300" height="159" /><br />
The whole components of Vostro V13</p>
<p><img class="aligncenter size-medium wp-image-2490" title="dell-Vostro-V13-26" src="http://blog.screenaid.com/wp-content/uploads/2010/02/dell-Vostro-V13-26-300x191.jpg" alt="dell-Vostro-V13-26" width="300" height="191" /><br />
Now you can know the design and quality of Vostro V13, is it good enough for you? The answer is yes.</p>
