I think almost all of you have experienced that your laptop was displaying the Blue Screen error. But how many of you really know the meaning of blue screen with all its numbers and codes. And how many of you can read the Blue Screen of Death and then take some measures. Here I will show you how to read the Blue Screen of Death.

Stop 0x0000000A or IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL

You may see this blue screen codes during or after the installation of Windows XP. The Stop 0xA message indicates that a kernel-mode process or driver attempted to access a memory location to which it did not have permission, or at a kernel interrupt request level (IRQL) that was too high. A kernel-mode process can access only other processes that have an IRQL lower than, or equal to, its own. This Stop message is typically due to faulty or incompatible hardware or software. you can see the following picture：

Stop: 0x0000000A (parameter1, parameter2, parameter3, parameter4)

The parameter1 indicates an error address, the parameter2 indicates a correct IRQL you needed to access the memory, the parameter3 indicates the type of access, and the parameter4 indicates the address of the instruction that referenced memory in parameter 1.

If you see this blue screen codes when you installed the Windows XP, the problem might be due to an incompatible hardware, system service, virus scanner.

You should make sure that the hardware you want to install is compatible to your laptop, you can check it on the “Check System Compatibility” topic on the Windows XP installation CD or DVD. Or you can just install the hardware what you need and regardless all the third-party device drivers and system services such as virus scanner.

If the hardware is compatible, you may have to check other hardware issues. For example, you can specify the Hardware Abstraction Layer (HAL), turn off features in CMOS settings, or you can remove all the adapters and disconnect all hardware devices. While I have to say that if you are not a professional, you had better not do these operations.

If you see this blue screen codes when you have already installed your Windows XP, the problem may be related to the third-party software or hardware you have installed. You can use the “Troubleshoot third-party software and hardware” section to deal with this problem, or you can delete and remove the software or the hardware.

There is no doubt that the failing or defective hardware will result in this error code, what you need do is to remove or replacing the hardware.

All in all, the Stop 0x0000000A or IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL indicates an incorrect environment. And other blue screen of death stop codes will be written soon.

When you plug the ethernet into your laptop, while the laptop can not recognize it. Or your laptop registers the ethernet cord and it can connect, but if you move the laptop, the connection is lost. There are the some problems about your laptop network port.

Fisrt of all, it may be the problem of your network cable. Tty to connect your laptop with a new improved work network cable. If it can work well, you network cable is broken and you need to replace it.

Or the pins inside the network port is bent, so it is impossible to connect to the network successfully. What you should do is straightening the bent pin. Of course, you can do it with a thin rigid object.

If your laptop registers the ethernet cord and it can connect sometimes, while if you move the laptop even typing on the keyboard, the connection is lost as soon as possible. In this case, there is no pronlem with your network cable, you may have a broken network port. If you want to fix this problem, there is no doubt that you can replace the broken port with a new one. While most network port is soldered directly to the motherboard.

You can deal with this issue only by buying a USB ethernet adapter instead. it basically enables the use of an ethernet cord through your USB port instead of your ethernet port. For a more elegant solution, get a wireless network card instead of a ethernet to USB adapter. This will fix the problem and add convenience and value to your laptop.

If you plug the ethernet into the back of your laptop, it seems to not recognize it until you shut the laptop off and then turn it back on. Then if you unplug it, it recognizes that you unplugged it but then if you were to go and put it back in later while the laptop is on, the laptop doesnt recognize it. In this case, you should check Quikset’s power options in which there is a setting for turning off the wired LAN card on battery.

You also can reinstall the regular driver which you can download from your laptop brand support website. If can’t, you can do a Windows update to see if any updated drivers for the Ethernet controller.

It is just so much, does it help you?

Do you have the experience that there is no any sound on your laptop speakers, while if you plug in your headphones, you can hear the sound chearly. Or do you have the problem that there is no any sound neither on your speakers nor on your headphones. What’s the problem of your laptop? Which parts of the laptop are bad?

If you can’t hear any sound from the laptop speakers, while you can hear the sound from the headphone. The problem may be as follow:

First, there is a connection problem between your laptop and the speakers. You may just check this problem and connect the speakers with your laptop well.

Than you should check if your laptop speakers is defected or malfunctioning. Because some times the laptop software can not detect a bad hard ware.

There may be the problem of your audio jack, in which there is a switch that controls the sound comes out from the speakers or the headphones. Maybe the switch is malfunctioning. So you can check it by pluging and unpluging the headphones into the audio jack. In some circumstances, the switch can works again. Or more, the audio jack is broken, so you should replace the motherboard as most audiao jacks are soldered to the motherboard.

If both your laptop speakers and headphones have no sound. The problems we talked above is probably too, and there may be other problems with it.

The problem may be related to the audio drive, you can try to reisntall the audio driver and the operating system from the recovery disc or installation CD. In this step, your personal data on your laptop may be lost, so you had better have your data backed up.

There is another possible reason, your sound card is out working. In this case, you had to replace your laptop motherboard too as the same reason as the audio jack.

Something about the laptop speakers and headphones problems. Does it help you?

Maybe one day, you want to turn on your laptop as usual, while the laptop won’t start, you are at a loss. Do you have this upset experience? If you do, there are many things you need to know.

First of all, you may check that if you power cable and power code connects well with your laptop and power socket. You can do it by unpluging the power cable and repluging it for many times. And you can test the laptop by the reset swith.

If this doesn’t let the laptop work, you can remove the battery and AC Adapter cord, and press and hold the power button for 30 seconds. Try to plug in your AC adapter without replacing your battery and see if the laptop can turn on. If this doesn’t fix the problem, you can remove the AC adapter, reset the board again, and this time hold the power button down as you plug in the AC Adapter cord.

If you laptop’s fan and disk drive are running well. This time you may have to check your screen whether your laptop screen is good or not. You can test it by contecting your laptop with an external monitor, turn on your laptop to see if your laptop works well with the external monitor. If it does, your laptop screen may be bad.

If this still can’t solve the problem, you could try to remove your memory, reset the board, replace the memory, and try one more time.

The other solution may be that you can restart your laptop by the Windows strat up disc. The disc will give you instructions that will help with the Windows restarting process.

The laptop can not turn up is a boring thing, so I hope this will help you.
