Lenovo ThinkPad Edge 15 is the most individual products as ThinkPad Edge 15 first uses unconventional red. In appearance, ThinkPad Edge 15 shows young and vigorous characters for ThinkPad Edge 15 color design which is largely different from the traditional all-black. Unlike economic SL serious ThinkPad in product orientation, new orientation and individual design of ThinkPad Edge 15 not only enrich production line but also offers more choices for users .

Diversification Design, Advanced Technology Application
The whole Design lightspot of ThinkPad Edge 15 tends to be diversification, from LED back-lit screen to keyboard Design. All the style seems like the same as Lenovo ThinkPad’s Design, but brand new concepts are used in many places. Red indication light makes the “ThinkPad” Logo quite different, while the design of rounded edge and human engineering keyboard makes Lenovo ThinkPad Edge 15 unique and comfortable.

Lenovo ThinkPad Edge 15 is the largest laptop comparable to 13-inch and 14-inch models, which offers cozier handle and larger visual enjoyment.

Good viewing angle effect with vivid color

Lenovo ThinkPad Edge 15 uses 15-inch WXGA panel with rich color and good brightness. The luminance in side angle is 160-180, direct angle up to 225, and lean angle in front and back is also good.

Comfortable Keyboard Hand Feel and Larger Touchpad
Lenovo ThinkPad Edge 15 adopts the 15-inch standard design. Larger body makes the keyboard become smaller. Although available for full-scale keyboard, ThinkPad Edge 15 uses the same size keyboard as ThinkPad Edge 14. Setting apart form traditional ThinkPad keyboard design except the symbolic little red dot,the curved keyboard design in ThinkPad Edge 15 is more like in entertainment laptop. Suitable key map and design feels comfortable.

The highly sensitive Synaptics Touchpad is cosy to use. Due to its muti-touch function, it’s very convenient to process graphics in ThinkPad Edge 15.ThinkPad Edge 15 touchpad is more easeful than ThinkPad T60 for it’s three time larger .

Less but Practical Ports

AS 15-inch standard design, Lennon ThinkPad Edge 15 owns larger space for ports. However, ThinkPad Edge 15 doesn’t have more ports, because ThinkPad Edge’s orientation is entertainment users who need practicability first.

ThinkPad Edge 15 ports mainly concentrate upon front, left and right side.

An extra SDHC-card reader in the front under palmrest is really convenient.

It’s strange that only a USB port in the rear side which may be affected by the heat elimination and battery position.

Heat sink, which is the important heat outlet, occupies a large place in the rear of left side. And it’s very practical to arrange audio output port, HDMI video port, eSata data port, VAG port, FJ45 port in the left side as well. Double video port allows ThinkPad Edge 15 can hook up two monitors.

In right side, ThinkPad Edge 15 is equipped with two USB ports, optical drive, power adapter and Lock slot.

Professional Software Test
ThinkPad Edge 15 owns dual Corei3-330M processor at 2.13GHZ, 320GB hard disk 5400RPM, 2GB memory and Intel GMA integrated graphics. As using integrated graphics chip, ThinkPad Edge 15 runs well in office software like Word、Excel、PowerPoint Outlook, but is poor in games.

Lenovo ThinkPad Edge 15’s owns 6-cell battery. In the situation of 70% screen luminance, Windows 7 system environment and wireless activity, the battery lasts for 4 hour 10 minutes, which is shorter 23 minutes than 14-inch ThinkPad Edge in the same situation.

Lenovo ThinkPad Edge 15 is the largest laptop in this edge serious. In performance, ThinkPad Edge 15 is equipped with Intel Core i3 processor, built-in 2GB memory, 320GB hard disk and Intel integrated GMA graphics.

If we say that the T Series of ThinkPad notebooks are the “aristocracy” of notebooks, the ThinkPad X series notebooks will be the “King” of the ultra-portable notebooks. When the thick notebooks were popular, the ThinkPad X Series notebooks win customers rely on their light weight, stable performance and good quality.

It can not become the “King” of notebooks just rely on their slim body and light weight. ThinkPad X series notebooks are not only light and thin but also good in their qualities and performances. While some notebooks will sacrifice their qualities when they want the notebooks become more portable. From the ThinkPad X20, X22, X24, X31/32, X41/41T etc. to X61 than to the X100e, they are not only just changed on their names but the essence.

When ThinkPad X300 with a 13-inch screen and drive released, the ThinkPad X series come with a new type of application. Users no longer need to carry an external drive with the ThinkPad X300. However, many people still like the lighter X200. Although it is changed to some extent according to the ThinkPad X300, it is still the ThinkPad X series. While when the Lenovo ThinkPad X100e debuted, the arguments are increased.

Lenovo ThinkPad X100e comes with an 11.6 inch screen, three color options, and AMD platform as well as the fashionable outlook, which make them unique. While some of ThinkPad fans can not accept the changes.
